Benchmark Drawings

Here is a benchmark drawing from one of my Kindergarten students in Mill Creek. I just found it today going through things for a student exhibit next week at the Randolph County Community Arts Center and thought it was so hilarious! I don't know what in the world this kid thinks deer do- but that definitely looks like poo to me. Enjoy!

Don't lie, we all know that you drew that!

dear Mrs. BullDawg:

with all due respect, the subject matter here is quite clear. those are two monster bucks eating CORN. the numbers on the feeder timer clearly indicate that it goes off at 6:20 AM and at 2:10 PM. all four hunters in the treestand are wearing their safety belts, and the guy on the left is at full draw, about to release an arrow at the leftmost big buck.

Mrs. BullDawg, Do not argue with Mongold. He knows his stuff!

Wow, Bradley- you are so right! This kid knew his bow hunting details. I am so much more impressed and want to do a hunting project with the kids...I should- they "get" this stuff and would enjoy extensive art that relates to what they do. I've decided, I'm going to show them your hunting photos and explain about the Grand Slam- then, we'll do a storyboard or cartoon of Mongold the Bow Hunter!! How cool.
